YOUR LASH CAREER STARTS HERE.
Learning how to apply lash extensions is one thing.
Learning how to safely lash real clients, create beautiful sets, build a business and actually feel confident doing it on your own is completely different.
This isn't a crowded beginner class where you're one of 10 students trying to keep up.
Your in-person training is completely 1:1, so we can slow down, repeat techniques, troubleshoot your work and focus on the areas where you need the most help.
Whether you've never picked up a lash tweezer before or you've tried another training and still don't feel confident taking clients, this course was designed to give you the foundation you need to start your lash career correctly.
WHY TRAIN WITH BAMBI?
I know what it feels like to leave your first lash training and realize how much there still is to learn.
That's one of the reasons I became so passionate about education.
Since starting Bambi Did the Lash, I've trained 100+ lash students, hosted multiple sold-out trainings and taught lash artists beyond the basics of simply attaching an extension.
My background as a nurse and nursing preceptor also shaped the way I teach: I want you to understand why you're doing something — not just copy my hands.
My goal isn't to create another artist who lashes exactly like me.
It's to give you the foundation to become your own lash artist.
WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT THAN TRADITIONAL 2-DAY LASH CLASSES:
Your education starts before you ever walk into my studio.
This hybrid program combines 10+ hours of online education with two full days of private, hands-on training in San Mateo, California.
Instead of trying to cram theory, technique, business education and live-model practice into a rushed weekend, you'll have time to learn the information online first — then come to class ready to apply it.
Your online education includes guided lessons, videos and quizzes that you can continue accessing after your training.
Then we get hands-on.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Break down our curriculum:
Before taking clients, you need to understand what it actually means to become a lash artist.
We'll cover:
- Getting started as a lash artist
- California licensing + legal considerations
- Home-based vs. salon/studio setups
- Establishment requirements
- Professional + liability insurance
- Business structure + LLC basics
- Creating your business Instagram
- Setting introductory pricing
- Short + long-term business goals
- Building a professional online presence
You'll begin thinking like a business owner — not just someone who knows how to apply lashes.
Before we touch tweezers, you'll learn the foundation behind the service.
You'll understand:
- Classic lash extensions
- Hybrid lash extensions
- Volume + mega volume
- Lash ratios
- Lash terminology
- Lash diameters
- Choosing safe lash weights
- Lash lengths
- Lash curls
- How different curls change a set
- Choosing lashes based on the client's natural lashes
You'll learn to make informed decisions instead of simply reaching for whatever lash tray is closest.
Beautiful lashes should never come at the expense of your client's natural lashes.
You'll learn how to recognize and work with the natural lash while understanding:
- Safe lash lengths + diameters
- Natural lash growth cycles
- How lash weight affects the natural lash
- Preventing premature shedding + damage
- When a natural lash should NOT be lashed
- How to modify a set for weaker or damaged natural lashes
The goal is to create beautiful sets your clients can continue wearing safely.
Stop thinking good retention comes from finding one "magic" glue.
You'll learn what actually affects your adhesive and why it behaves differently from day to day.
We'll cover:
- How lash adhesive works
- Dry time + proper adhesive pickup
- Temperature + humidity
- Reading your hygrometer
- Controlling your lash environment
- Adhesive storage + handling
- Retention troubleshooting
You'll start learning how to troubleshoot retention instead of immediately blaming your glue.
Learn how to safely and professionally work with real clients.
- Sanitation + disinfection
- Preventing cross-contamination
- Allergies + sensitivities
- Client contraindications
- Consent + client safety
Once your foundation is established, we'll introduce hybrid sets and how to combine classic and volume techniques to create fuller, textured results.
You'll begin learning how different lash types work together and how to create a balanced set.
Build the technique that becomes the foundation of everything else you learn.
- Tweezer control + isolation
- Lash pickup + adhesive control
- Proper placement + direction
- Maximum contact for better retention
- Preventing lifted bases + stickies
Go beyond classic lashes with an introduction to handmade volume.
- Handmade volume fan creation
- Tweezer pressure + fiber pickup
- Clean fan bases
- Safe fan sizes + diameters
- Hybrid lash ratios
- Volume placement + introduction to wrapping
Learn how to customize a set instead of putting the same lash map on every client.
- Lash mapping
- Length + curl selection
- Choosing the right fullness
- Classic vs. hybrid vs. volume
- Styling around the client's natural lashes + desired look
Learn how to figure out why a client's lashes aren't lasting.
- Adhesive + environment
- Lash prep
- Placement + application
- Client aftercare
- Identifying and correcting retention issues
BEFORE CLASS — ONLINE THEORY
Complete 10+ hours of guided online education before your hands-on training.
You'll work through theory, videos and quizzes so you're already familiar with the concepts we'll be practicing together.
And because you receive continued access, you can revisit your education after class instead of trying to memorize everything in two days.
DAY ONE — BUILD THE FOUNDATION
Day One is about slowing everything down and learning proper technique.
We'll review your online education, get familiar with your tools and begin hands-on practice.
Welcome + Kit Walkthrough
Get familiar with your professional lash kit, tools and products.
Theory Review + Q&A
Review important concepts from your online training and clear up anything that didn't make sense.
Workspace + Client Setup
Learn how to prepare yourself, your workspace and your client for a lash service.
Taping + Isolation
Practice one of the most important skills you'll use throughout your entire lash career.
Classic Lash Application
Learn pickup, adhesive control, attachment, distance and direction.
Hands-On Practice
We'll spend time correcting your tweezer grip, hand positioning, isolation and placement.
Hybrid + Intro to Volume
Begin learning how classic and volume techniques come together.
Troubleshooting + Recap
We'll identify what you're doing well and what we'll focus on during your live model.
DAY TWO — LIVE MODEL DAY
Now it's time to apply what you've learned to a real person.
You'll perform a lash service on a live model while I guide you 1:1.
This is where the pieces start coming together.
We'll work through:
Consultation → Lash Prep → Taping → Mapping → Isolation → Application → Styling → Final Check → Aftercare
I'll be there to help you troubleshoot throughout the service and correct your technique as you work.
The goal isn't for your first model to be perfect.
The goal is for you to understand what you're doing, why you're doing it and what you need to continue practicing once class ends.
